So not only do we love flowers, providing our local community with fresh, seasonal blooms, we love houseplants! I mean, we are obsessed. (It's a problem, send help, we have so many plants)
Whenever we get in new plants from a family owned greenhouse right here in Michigan, we always have the urge to take all the fun new plants home!

Brenda's favorite choice of plant are Kalanchoe plants because of their continual bloom cycle, color varieties and ease of care.

Kalanchoes are part of the cactus family, and the care is similar to succulents! They love bright yet indirect sunlight and do very well as an indoor potted plant. They thrive outdoors in desert climates in the west, but here up in the Northern states they do better inside due to not being cold hardy. They like sandy, well draining soil. We recommend using succulent or cactus soil mixes. An excellent brand is Espoma (the same brand which makes the Hollytone products). You can order their soil online or find it in many local retailers such as Lowes and Home Depot.

Haley, Brenda's employee and fellow designer has a deep love for Pothos plants.
These resilient vining plants are a popular household plant. They are very easy to care for and low maintenance! They do great in low light, making them optimal for dimly lit spaces, but also thrive in indirect light, or hung in front of windows. Haley loves pothos plants because how easy it is to propagate the vines in water. Water culture is a type of hydroponic growing method that can be accomplished easily by beginners with the right container and nutrients. Vases, wall hanging planters and even aquariums are perfect water culture options for pothos plants.

We know that not everyone loves cut flowers because of their temporary nature. That is why we provide a variety of plants. Give us a call and we can help find the right one for your loved one, or for your own growing collection! Are you looking for something rare or different? Give us a call too! Haley is involved in a myriad of online groups and plant exchanges where she has sourced rare plants in the past, and can keep an eye out for your dream plant. (Pink princess philodendron girlies, we see you!)
